had my 2nd rollarblading lesson today.
went to pasir ris park with zhi bin, damian and jee yean.
MY BUTT HURTS D:
i fell down 4 times today.
and no, i didn't manage to land softly.
instead of falling forward, i fell backward...
they kept telling me to fall forward.
but i'd rather protect my face than my butt.
REALLY, REALLY hurts T.T
the 4th time i fell was the worst.
jee yean made me go down a really, really, really, really, really steep slope.
i couldn't even go up!
i crab-walked all the way up holding zhi bin's hands.
i almost pulled her down when i started to slip.
ok, so before i went down, i already knew it was too steep.
but jeep insisted.
so yeah, i was gliding down the slope, n i was so scared because i was going to fast.
and i leaned backwards, N FELL.
my injuries: 3 scratches on my right leg, 1 cut, an aching butt.
honestly... i felt like crying.
hurts a lot.
i can't sit down properly.
i think i have to sleep on my tummy today, can't sleep on my back.
today, i learnt how to glid and balance.
BUT i used damian's method instead of jee yean's XD
thank you, anyway :D
the sun was scorching hot.
to make it worse, i couldn't rollarblade very fast so i spent a LONG time just trying to get to the shade.
but in the end, it was all worth it because JEE YEAN BOUGHT ME A BOTTLE OF COKE! :D
damian was having a good life.
he didn't let me grip onto him for support because he said that my wristguard was smelly.
thanks a lot =.=
but he fell down too XD
he didn't hurt his butt but he did scrape his hands.
who told him not to wear wristguards.
and he was also bleeding at two spots.
the blood was literally dripping down.
yeah, i'm afraid of blood, so i tried not to look at it.
i am proud to say that i did not get any ant bites today :D

i was watching 16 and pregnant on MTV.
and i almost fainted when i saw the girl giving birth!
SO MUCH BLOOD ON THE BABY!!!
then they inserted all the tubes into the mother!
and the thing that really made me feel lyk passing out, was the fact that they injected her before she went into labour!

went rollarblading 2 days ago wif zhi bin, shannen, justin, jee yean, damian, eugene teo and gladwin.
i didn't learn how to in the end.
but i'm halfway there (i think)!
i still haven't learnt how to balance, according to jee yean, i have a confindence problem XD
so yeah, at pasir ris park, we walked to the rental shop.
that was where the guys (minus gladwin and eugne- because they weren't there yet) said it was daylight robbery.
they were charging $12!
so we walked... and walked... AND WALKED.
until we got to the other retal shop.
by then, we had stepped in SO MANY puddles of muddy water.
but SOME ppl (justin) didn't have to worry about them because he wasn't wearing sandals like the rest of us :/
when we decided that walking on the grass was going to be a better option, we did that.
lo and behold.
it was less wet, BUT more MUDDY :O
so we ended up walking with black stuff and dried mud on our feet XD
and when we FINALLY got there.
zhi bin and i had to pay $2 extra for socks.
this shop's rental price was $8 ($10 for zb and i).
and once we got the rollar blades, i COULDN'T stand up!
in the end, the uncle at the shop helped me.
on the pavement, jee yean taught me how to balance.
but i'm a slow learner.
and i was more concerned about falling then how to balance.
so justin and shannen helped.
while jee yean did most of the teaching, i clung onto their arms/ hands.
damian offered help once, but after i gripped his arm so hard that he screamed i was pinching him, he didn't offer to help again D:
when i lifted my hand to push my hair back, i smelled the hand guards.
PUH! damian was right, they STANK!
so much for "no way, i'm not going to smell it".
at one point, when jt was suppoting me, he was behind me and i started to move backwards.
so leaned forward in a desperate attempt to stabilise myself, but i bumped him in the who-knows-where with my bum.
EMBARRASSING =.=
especially when everyone was laughing.
i fell down 3 times.
the 1st time, i started to glid (when i didn't mean to).
i couldn't stop even with shannen holding one hand and someone else holding the other.
i landed softly though :D but with my legs wide open... with shannen's foot in between.
she said that it was such an awkward position :/
and they wanted to take a picture of my first fall
the next time, i fell the exact same way
except with jt's or jee yean's foot in between my legs.
the 3rd time, i pulled justin down too :/
ACCIDENTALLY!
i felt tt i was slipping and so i clung on REALLY hard, hoping that i wouldn't fall.
so unfortunately, both of us fell.
ouch.
to make things worse, i almost got run over by eugene who is also a beginner (and didn't know how to stop).
so on the end, the only way he could stop, was to fall.
3 ppl on the ground was quite a funny sight XD
oh, and there was one time when my feet went opposite directions.
i was like "OMG, OMG!"
damian and jt called it an almost SPLIT.
gd thing shannen and jt pulled my back on time.
i needed someone to hold me just to balance.
and gladwin learnt to balance faster than me :/
what kind of beginner takes 1 second to balance?!
even after 1 hour, i couldn't get the hang of it!
damian blocked my way a few times D:
and i didn't know how to stop, so i had to grip onto someone's hand just to stop.
eugene and i almost collided once.
we were both looking down at ur rollarblades when moving toward each other and when we looked up, we both screamed.
i think justin, jee yean, shannen and damian moved us away from each other.
I THINK, or mayb they were just there teasing us -.-

justin- for pulling me back up whenever my feet were going in opposite directions and helping me balance
shannen- for helping me balance and preventing me from slipping
zhi bin- for telling them when i was moving when i wasn't suppose to be
damian- for telling the others to "guan ta" and let me try to balance on my own
eugene- for falling to prevent running over me
gladwin- for not falling when i thought i was going to fall and pulled your shirt as a result

trust me, if i had a photo of me falling, i would definitely post it up as a memory of my first fall while rollarblading :)

ok, so i read a book about 100 things to be happy about.
so i'm going to make my own list.
here we go.
it may take some time though, but i hope i'll finish it XD

1. friends to teach you rollar blading
2. no tuition when your tutor goes on a holiday
3. sweets to make medicine seem a lot less bitter
4. a room door which you can shut yourself out from your siblings you're mad at them.
5. younger cousins who make yourself seem smarter
6. the fact that my mum gives me pocket money
7. im allowed to sleep on the couch
8. drool can be washed out of the couch's fabric
9. camels cant climb stairs and brage into hdb flats (like they do in australia)
10. teachers can't see EVERYTHING that happens in class
11. the rain eventually stops (literally and not literally)

where is the love - Black Eyed Peas :D

grandma n aunt from indonesia r here to stay for abt 2 weeks (i think).
they speak indonesian or chinese (great, the 2 languages im not gd at).
don't get me wrong, i don't mind talking to them.
but even when i do understand them, i dunno how to answer them XD
my grandma has this habit of speaking a mix of both languages.
so by the time she's at the end of her sentence, I'm usually lyk, "umm... what?"
but i managed to pick up this really good pattern when she speaks.
at the end of her sentence, she normally say "yah?"
so i always just smile and say "yeah" back :D
auntie yanti is ok, she speaks chinese to me 95% of the time.
but still, im not used to talking in Chinese.
my sister is having a much easier time.
As our whole family knows, her languages are better than mine and she's more talkative.
good for her XD

I'm gonna b at SC camp for 3 days.
Sat to Mon.
NOOOOOO!!!!
i hope i don't starve.
that's why I'm bringing marshmallows and chips.
ive learnt my lesson from last year's SC camp.
AND when the teachers collect our wallets for safekeeping, I'm going to keep all my coins with me.
who knows what the food will taste like.
if it's anything like the food provided at training, those coins are going to come in handy.
oh, and ive also learnt: if the queue for food looks short, that's just because it's bending.
i unknowingly cut queue last year.
I'M SORRY TO THE PPL BEHIND ME.
i was still blur until i finished getting my food and saw how long the queue was.
so embarrassing... T.T

yeah, i think it's time to let go.

ive decided to think of the best/ funniest times and thing's that have happened this yr(:
not in order of merit (HAHA)... here's No. 1!(:

#1: THE PEARL FLINGING
gaius, zy, basyir n i were on the bus going to tamp interchange frm sch. basyir had just lost is wallet at the bubble tea shop. he was feeling very sad n gaius was making him feel worse. but we learnt an important lesson that day: ALWAYS LISTEN TO ARIANE. i told him not to buy bubbletea! oh kay, then when we were on the bus, basyir was emoing at the corner. one of them finished their bubble tea n we got a pearl frm it. then we started throwing it around to each other at the back of the double- decker bus. HAHA, it was so fun(: it got stuck on our hair, legs, arm, face, bags, uniform etc. sometimes when some1 threw it at some1 else, we would b looking for it. but in the end, it would b stuck on some1's uniform n we wouldnt notice it until we c smt as big as PCK's mole hanging frm their sleve! 1 incident: zhen yao. he was lyk saying, "where's the pearl? where's the pearl???" gaius, zy n i were all looking around us. i saw tt it was stuck to zy's sleve XD another time, it got stuck on the window next to the person sitting in front of me. gaius was squeeling and all of us were laughing uncontrollably XD in the end, they voted for me to grab it cuz i was the closest to it. i still dun c the logic to it. isnt the person who threw it suppose to get it??? n gaius used zy to shield him half of the time (zy was reluctant), so MEAN! i only had my bag, so i curled up on the seat to block the pearl attack. it was so disgusting when the pearl got stuck to my fringe. EWW. so sticky. once, zy used the straw n he almost sucked the pearl in when he was trying to blow it out. YUCK! but it was super fun. i have a pic of the pearl stuck to the back of the bus, but im too lazy to unload it. i would love to do it again. sometimes when i think of this, i will start laughing although it's in the middle of class XD definitely once of the best times(:

i have to think of other times XD
i got too absorbed in tt #1 time tt i forgot wad i was going to type next.
will name another incident in my next post :D
